Wooden Seed Trays, Pair
$42.00 USD
Untreated larch trays with a slatted base, which drain properly and can be scrubbed and stacked at the end of the season. Larch because it is naturally durable enough to live in a greenhouse for a decade without treatment, and untreated because seedlings and wood preservative do not mix.
- Untreated — nothing to leach into a seedling
- Slatted base that drains properly

Materials
Untreated larch, nailed rather than glued, with a 5mm slatted base. Larch and cedar are the two timbers durable enough to use untreated around plants; anything else needs a preservative and then you have a preservative in your seed compost.
Care
Scrub them out at the end of the season and let them dry. They will go silver-grey, which is what happens to larch and does not affect anything. Stack them somewhere with air movement over winter.
